About & affiliate disclosure
The short version: this site may earn a commission on some retailer links, that commission never influences what it recommends, and it tells you when it does not know something.
What this site is
Sim Rig Config is a configurator for sim racing hardware. You pick a wheel base, rim, pedals and the rest; it checks whether those parts actually work together, keeps a running total, and turns the result into a parts list you can share or take to a retailer.
It is run by one person. There is no company behind it and no account to create — your build lives in the page URL, which is why you can share it by copying the link. Visits are counted in aggregate and nothing else about you is collected; the privacy page sets out exactly what that means.
How it makes money
Some of the retailer links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the retailer may pay this site a commission. It does not cost you anything — the price you pay is the same either way, and no retailer pays to be listed, ranked higher, or recommended.
Products are ordered by compatibility and price, never by commission. A product with no affiliate link sits alongside one that has it, and where there is no usable retailer link at all, the site sends you to a plain search instead of hiding the product.
How the compatibility data is sourced
Compatibility comes from manufacturer specifications, published quick-release and mounting standards, and hands-on knowledge of the hardware. Each result tells you why: a direct fit, an adapter requirement, or a genuine conflict.
Where a combination has not been verified, the site says so rather than guessing. Unknown stays unknown — missing information is never dressed up as a confident recommendation.
How prices work
Prices are in pounds sterling and are checked automatically against retailer listings. Anything checked within the last week is labelled with when it was checked; anything older is shown as a guide price.
Always confirm the final price, stock and delivery with the retailer before buying. Prices move, and a configurator is not a shop.
Trademarks and images
Product names, brands and images belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify the products described. This site is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by any manufacturer.
If you represent a brand and want an image changed or removed, get in touch and it will be.
